As I was sending out a virtual hug to my friend A.H.D. (not to be confused with ADHD – that is, until you actually meet her) when I remembered our fun dinner on the patio of The Cheesecake Factory.
We had so much catching up to do! I mean, sooooo muuuuuch catching up to do. We literally camped out, witnessing the wait-staff shift change et all.
I’m not yet ready to divulge the final tally of our ‘stay’. In due time, my friend(s), in due time.
The odd thing is, a few weeks later another friend and I were catching up over dinner and well, <ahem>, we had to leave the restaurant before we were, um, ready to leave. And well, it hadn’t EVEN yet reached The Cheesecake Factory Patio Proportions.
(For further explanation on that event, read the July 12th post called “Well, now THAT’S a first for even me”.) Maybe one day I’ll actually figure out how to do a link to my own postings.
Back to the subject at hand.
So tell me, (both of you Oh My Soul, readers), what’s the longest amount of time you’ve ever sat at a restaurant, catching up with friends and family?
See, I told you this was an important poll.
4 hours is my longest stay just catching up in a restaurant. Whew, that was a long time to sit there!
FOUR hours! At Calypso Cafe on a Saturday afternoon with two of my favorite former coworkers. I had NO idea we had been there that long until the husband started calling trying to figure out where in the world I was. He was also curious why I came home and was ready to eat again. I burned off all that food talking for four hours!
4 hours for me as well… and more than once.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm…could it be MEEEEE??? Yes, Christa, you are right–slightly ADHD, especially when you get to know me! I won’t divulge the Cheesecake Patio Number, don’t worry! ;o)
Six hours, Mad Platter, Nashville.
